Disability Services & Support in Newcastle
Newy is a local disability support service in Newcastle and our home base. We deliver person-centred NDIS disability services across Newcastle and the wider Hunter Region of NSW.
About Our Newcastle Disability Services
Newcastle is where Newy Disability Support was founded, and it remains our home base for delivering disability services across the region. As a vibrant university city in the Hunter Region, Newcastle is known for its close-knit community, stunning natural surroundings, and excellent local facilities. Our team lives and works in Newcastle, giving us a deep understanding of the local community and its needs.
From the beautiful Newcastle Arboretum and Dumaresq Dam walking trails to the local cafes, sporting clubs, and cultural events, Newcastle has so much to offer. Our community access programs help participants enjoy everything the region has to offer — whether it's exploring the Hunter Regional Art Museum, visiting the Newcastle Farmers Market, or attending events at the local showground.

Why Choose Newy for Disability Services in Newcastle
Locally Based, Locally Focused
Newy's head office is at 14 Shambrook Ave, Newcastle. Our founder Ben Feenan and our team live and work here. We're not a Sydney or Brisbane company sending staff up — we're your neighbours.
10+ Years Frontline Experience
Our founder has over a decade of hands-on disability support experience including supervising supported homes, behaviour support teams, and frontline care across the Hunter Region.
Deep Community Connections
We know Newcastle inside out — from the best accessible venues and walking trails around Dumaresq Dam to the local sporting clubs, UNE campus events, and the Saturday Farmers Market on Beardy Street.
Person-Centred, Not One-Size-Fits-All
Every participant is different. We build support around your goals, your routine, and your preferences — not ours. That's why Newcastle families trust Newy.
Local Newcastle Landmarks We Visit Regularly
Our community access programs take participants to venues and landmarks across Newcastle including the Hunter Regional Art Museum (NERAM), Newcastle Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place, Curtis Park, Central Park, the Newcastle City Bowling Club, Newcastle Ex-Services Memorial Club, Newcastle City Library, Coles and Woolworths shopping centres, Newcastle Plaza, Dumaresq Dam reserve, Dangarsleigh walks, Newcastle Golf Club, local cinemas, and community events at the Newcastle Showground. We also regularly visit cafes on the Mall, the UNE campus, and seasonal markets.
